Hike the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge. The Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge was created in 1980 to protect endangered wildlife in the Gulf Coast area. There are four different trails for you to explore and enjoy the scenery. The Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge is friendly for large groups so make sure to add this nature trail to your list of things to do when you stay in one of our homes for large groups.

Go biking at the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail. The Backcountry Trail has 15 different trails for your exploration! This trail system features more than 6,000 acres of wildlife refuge and you never know what you may see. From alligators, to deer, to reptiles, there is a good possibility that one of the “locals” may pop out to say hello when you are exploring the trails!

Go kayaking! Little Lagoon is a great place to go kayaking when you are visiting Gulf Shores and Fort Morgan. Our lagoon front homes give guests easy access to the lagoon. Kayaking can make for great exercise and it will have you right out on the water giving you the best of both worlds. You won’t have to feel guilty for eating all of the tasty seafood later.
