Poppy's Place

Poppy's Place is not for everyone, however it was perfect for us. No complaints at all. By the way, have been renting from Reed for at least 20 years for various locations on the beach. You have always been easy to work with. This time I was so impressed with how friendly front desk was when picking up rental packet. Thanks, we really enjoyed our week. Jmr

We loved Poppy's Place! The location was perfect and the house is beautiful, and spacious, the deck is also beautiful and spacious! If I could make any changes or suggestions: 1: I would move the King Size bed to the Master Bedroom instead of having it located in the bedroom near the kitchen. 2: I would love to see the grass/weeds removed from the shoreline to expose more of the sand for a little more "beach space". It appears to have overgrown since the photos were taken for the listing. 3: I would spray weed killer in the grass to kill the "stickers" to make it barefoot friendly.

We recently stayed at Poppy's Place while in town for a music festival. We had 5 adults and ample room. I will say, I would list it as a 4 bedroom, not a 3 bedroom. There is another room with bunk beds that is a full room with a door and a closet- which was a pleasant surprise, no sharing of rooms for us, as we were expecting. House is beautiful, clean and well supplied. Beautifully decorated and made you feel like a guest in someone's Beach house, instead of just a renter. Plenty of room to spread out and have your own personal space, yet plenty of room when the 5 of us wanted to gather or eat a meal together. All the amenities of home. We appreciates the fact there there were enough dishes, utensils and cooking supplies to make large meals. The yard and the dock to the water both are immaculate and we enjoyed coffee every morning on the water. Check in and check out process was smooth and contact with rental company was easy accessible. I would recommend bringing beach towels- as they are not supplied and make sure you look in the bedroom closets for the pads for all the outside chairs (otherwise not very comfortable). Also, there is a second ice maker and a 2nd fridge in the spacious laundry room- which was another bonus surprise when we arrived- no need for the bags of ice we bought on our way in! If we find ourselves in Gulf Shores again, we would definitely stay at Poppy's Place again.

We have spent the last couple winters in Poppys Place and absolutely love it. The home is very spacious with wonderful furnishings and personal decorating. Love the peacefu setting and beautiful water views. the living space makes us feel "right at home". Love Poppys Place!
