Down Time

We had a great vacation at Down Time. Located steps from the beach, the house was fully stocked with everything we needed. It has a large deck, covered/open seating, overlooking the Gulf. Great for coffee in the A.M. and beers in the afternoon. The property is located toward the west end of the peninsula which is less crowded. We basically had the dog-friendly beach to ourselves. Also, highly recommend going thru Reed Real Estate. The initial house we rented had an AC compressor issue which could not be fixed immediately. Reed provided us with a list of available properties to select from, and relocated us immediately, once we selected Down Time (shout out to Matt, who went over & above to make certain we were taken care of). We will definitely go thru Reed next time we book.....

Perfect Stay for my mom, grand-kids and my dog. It was like having the beach all to ourselves and the weather was perfect. The Down Time, was a joy to stay in and was the perfect size for our needs. House was well stocked, neat and clean. Reed Real Estate answered all my questions, (even on Sunday) and solved any issues right away. This is our third year to book with Reed and can only say good things about them. I will be booking for next year's stay with Reed again.

We really love this house. The layout is great, thank you for upgrading the couch. The outdoor furniture is so comfortable and you sit higher up so you can see the ocean in its full beauty. TS Francine did come through but that did not dampen our vacation. This is truly a home away from home. Thank you for sharing your beautiful house with us. And don't forget to eat at Tacky Jacks, their food never disappoints.

We were extremely disappointed to discover this listing, which states it has 2 king beds, only has 1 king. This was very inconvenient and uncomfortable for the other couple staying with us. The room had a full size bed that was suitable for one person only. Also, the shared bathroom for two rooms was very, very small. It was difficult to navigate for a family of 4. The master room, however, was very spacious. Almost to big considering the other 2 rooms and bathroom. The kitchen was very well stocked and large. The deck was clearly new with new furniture. Everything outdoors was outstanding. The house overall was very clean when we arrived. There are no extra pillows for the bedrooms, so you will need to bring your own if needed. The house was just steps away from the beach and it was fantastic. The check-in process; however, needs to be improved. You have to go to the rental company before you go to the house to get the door code. This seems very inconvenient since the code could just be emailed or texted prior to arrival. All other rental companies we have used within the past 10 years going to Ft. Morgan have always emailed or texted the code. After spending 10 hours in the car, you just want to get to your destination without having to make an additional stop. Overall, our stay at this home was great but the listing needs to be updated to accurately show there is only 1 king bed.

Hi there,

Thanks for taking the time to review. We are so sorry for the confusion regarding the bed sizes. The homeowner actually did a furniture switch in late May and replaced the King in one bedroom with a Queen sized bed and I was not aware at the time. I hope you guys enjoyed the rest of the home. Down Time is a gorgeous spot and the location can not be beat. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience and hope to welcome you guys again soon.
