Absent Minded

Beautiful views right on the beach. Location was perfect with not many people on the beach making it feel more private. House was clean and ready to go when we arrived. Had everything we needed for our stay, even had buckets and shovels for our kids to build a mega castle on the beach. Communication was very clear and friendly. Definitely recommend.

We had a great stay at Absent Minded. Perfect, quiet location in Fort Morgan. Home was well supplied and clean. Check in was easy and communication from Reed was great.

We stayed at Absent Minded over Memorial Day Weekend, and we could not be more pleased with our stay. The house was conveniently located 5-10 minutes away from several nice restaurants, had an incredible view, and a private beach. The house was spacious and clean. The best part of the house was both of the porches. We will certainly return to Absent Minded in the near future!!!

We've always enjoyed our trips to the Gulf Coast no matter what, but each place we've stayed was deficient or lacking something... the septic smelled, the AC was horrible, the washer was tiny, deck furniture was weathered and splintered, the walk to the beach was arduous , etc, etc, etc..... to the point where we have never booked the same place over again and always start out on the hunt. This year our rental home, Absent Minded, and the great people at Reed Real Estate have changed all that. There were so many things we liked about this place it is hard to remember them all. On arrival the place was immaculately clean with great AC and no musty beach house smell! The floor plan is nicely open downstairs with a spacious kitchen, a great fridge, a huge laundry room with a major league washer and dryer! I must also mention, to our great delight, that the internet was absolutely smoking for a beach location so far out... we clocked it at 367mb download making it very easy to check in on our businesses while away. 4 bedrooms with comfortable beds and three full baths for 5 adults was perfect. The decor and furniture was simple, but comfortable, and tastefully done. If this place was shack, the 150 ft walk to the water was amazing and would have made up for it all! It made it super simple to set up for the day in the sand and surf, and a quick 5 minute tear down and take things back to the house. The house is so close to the beach that it's easier to just run in a grab a sandwich than to haul out a big cooler... The deck furniture was the best we have ever had and the deck itself, while very simple, made this place even more special. We ate multiple meals daily outside and spent countless hours enjoying the sunrise with morning coffee , sunsets, star gazing, and lightning shows on the horizon from this perfect little deck. I am running out of adjectives... but the views are spectacular right from this cozy little deck. We were also a 5 minute drive to the nice new fishing pier at Fort Morgan and I actually caught fish right from the beach by our house. The water clarity for the first 3 days with light surf was like the Caribbean... visibility under water was 20 plus feet! We caught tons of blue crabs, saw dolphins every day, and soaked up 7 days of perfect weather. A final mention here for the Reed Real Estate folks. They are super responsive, friendly, and welcoming. The property was exactly as shown and even better than our expectations. We chatted with our neighbors next door who were also in a Reed property and their experience was just like ours! We didn't need anything while we were there but the Reed office was less than a mile from our house and they are there for you. This may seem like a little thing but we have stayed places where the management was remote or worse yet, in a call center in a foreign country. Getting real assistance was a joke and an invitation to waste hours on the phone with someone that couldn't really help you anyway. The Reed team is just down to earth nice people trying to make your vacation enjoyable and we appreciated that a lot. It should be obvious by now that we had a great time and a great experience here. This was our first engagement with Reed Real Estate and we highly recommend them and the Absent Minded property. We will not hesitate to come back here. If I could, I would give this 10 stars and it truly was our Best Beach Rental Experience Ever!

A friend and I decided to take our 2 grown boys and their girlfriends back to the beach they remembered vacationing at when they were young. Had a great time drinking coffee on the huge deck with super nice deck furniture, relaxing on the beach (which was empty after Labor Day) and reminiscing about past Fort Morgan vacations. This house was perfect! The house sits really close to the water so the beach was just out the door. The house is beautiful on the inside and out. Could use some deep cleaning of rugs but otherwise would definitely stay again.

This is a beautiful house! Pretty clean. It was perfect for our family, 2 adult kids and their spouses along with 2 grand children and the two of us. Absolutely loved the decks and the deck furniture! We all loved that it was ON the beach! Nicely stocked kitchen, just a few things we would add. We weren’t a fan of the living room furniture but understand the cleaning functionality of it. We had one slight problem, made a phone call and the issue was fixed the same day! Would I recommend! Absolutely! We loved the privacy, not a congested area. But we still found some great places in the area and not far from the Orange Beach area. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home!

Going to the beach during Thanksgiving break has been a dream of ours for a while, we finally got there and this was the perfect place to relax and rewind. The view can't be beat, The house was equipped with everything we needed. The entire place seems to have went through a recent remodel that checked all the boxes. Loved sitting on the deck and listen to the waves. Wish we had made it to the Fort Morgan historical site, but it was closed on Thanksgiving Day. Hopefully we can come back again.

We needed a mental break during the coronavirus quarantine, so we decided to quarantine in Fort Morgan for five days at this wonderful house. It was so relaxing to sit on the deck and listen to the ocean. We ate all of our meals except one out on the deck. We also spent a lot of time walking along the water. It was just what we needed! The house is wonderful and I would recommend it to anyone.
